I recently started going through photos from my four month backpacking journey of Asia and Australia that began two and a half years ago. I knew it would take a long time for me to fully grasp the impact of those moments, and really let all the lessons sink in. Truthfully, I feel like I’m still learning, remembering and growing from those moments.
My life has been a bit of a whirlwind since retiring. The amount of clarity I found on that adventure is incredible, my life truly changed in so many ways (yes I know how cheesy that statement is), more ways than I was even prepared for. I’m so grateful that now I get to relive it all, every single moment - little day to day memories and some really big moments. I’m finally ready to go through these photos and share these experiences.
I sometimes feel like my life started over again, like I hit a reset button - those few months became the point from which the life always wanted, began.
This is not your typical travel blog, I’m not sharing tips with exceptional writing skills, I’m not going to be fluffy or overly positive all the time - this is my experience and I’m telling you my stories as I am remembering them and living them.
