I worked with Psycle to create imagery that reflects their new strength offering and partnership with Nike Strength.


During our pre-session meeting, the Psycle team described their vision with these words: POWERFUL, STRONG and INTENSE.



They wanted the aesthetic to sit somewhere between the lightness of yoga and the darkness of ride (spin). This was aided by a recent refurbishment of their strength room which took it from a once very dark and cave-like space to a brighter, welcoming one with light ceilings and pops of colour.


WE HAD A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME TO CAPTURE QUITE A LARGE SHOT LIST. THE SESSION WAS A HUGE SUCCESS; I'M PROUD OF THE CONTENT, AND THE CLIENT IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE DELIVERABLES!

Tools and techniques of DIP Productions


Throughout our half-day session:


Two light set-up —

One of the lights was an interchangeable key or backlight with a blue gel depending on the scenario and aesthetic we were capturing. The other was a dedicated fill light.


An extra set of hands —

I had my partner as my assistant to move both the lights and the gym equipment around.


Psycle Team on set —

We had members of the Psycle team onsite to collaborate, provide in-the-moment feedback and keep the talent moving through the frames.
